Turning old photos into art through photo restoration & digitization.

I  try  to  find  the  little  things  in  life  to  meditate  on  and  enjoy  for  a  lifetime.  Photography and photo restoration  has  brought  me  that.  Even  more  so,  photo  manipulation has  given  those  meditative  moments  a  twist  that  expands  the  imagination.

Another  aspect  of  photo digitization  is  bringing  someone’s  memories  to  life  by  bringing  those moments clarity through photo enhancements.  Pictures from years past do not  hold up well.  Being able to provide photo digitization and repairing damage  through photo restoration can mean so much to those who  perhaps  no  longer  have  that  person  in  their  lives  anymore.

I  find  tremendous  joy  in  seeing  someone’s  face  light  up  and  yes,  even  tears  of  joy,  when  they  discover  their  memories  are  now  in  a  book  that  will  not  fade  and  are  easy  to  display  with  pride.

I started  this  site  for  several  reasons.  I  have  enjoyed  my  own  personal  experiences  and  wished  to  share  them  with  others  who  want  to  learn.  I’m  not  sure  I  will  ever  consider  myself an expert and always welcome constructive advice and tips. Keep in mind please, art is in the eye of the beholder, but technique is something that takes practice and skills. I never  profess to be anything more than a hobbyist and continuous student of photography. But I still enjoy attempting to be a photo editor if it can offer even a modicum of clarity to an old cherished photograph.
